Sierra Hartman, editor of Country Goer, grew up in the scenic Appalachian foothills of Asheville, North Carolina. She earned a degree in Environmental Studies from the University of Vermont, where she developed a deep passion for sustainable outdoor recreation. After graduation, Sierra worked as a trail guide in Colorado’s Rocky Mountain National Park and later served as a program coordinator for a nature education nonprofit in the Pacific Northwest. Her career also includes time as an editor for a regional outdoor magazine in Oregon. Now, she brings her expertise and love for hiking to Country Goer, inspiring readers to explore nature responsibly.
